I applied through my school because Apple was coming on campus to interview select candidates for the MarCom team based on the students' cover letters. The whole process was unnecessarily lengthy. Apple made such a fuss about their appearance at school, but in the end it was somewhat a disappointing experience.
Interviewed with the head of the team. Standard graphic design interview: showing your portfolio, explaining your design decisions, answering occasional questions.
Waited for 5 weeks to get a response after being assured that they'll get back to me within a week. The university relations person never responded to both my follow-up email and my school's career center's inquiries about the progress and timeline.
