Difficult Interview – Overall Positive Experience – Yes, and I accepted – Thu, 24 Sep 2015
Interviewed Aug 2014 in Los Angeles, CA(took 14 days)
Apply to the Apple Store of your choosing by going through the Apple.com hiring portal. It's fairly straightforward and allows you to upload a digital resume. It also helps to have a current Apple employee recommend you. They'll know the process, so ask them for the details.
If you're selected for the next hiring event, you'll get an email from Apple. This event will herd a mass of employee hopefuls together for a lecture on what it means to be an Apple employee. From there, you'll be scheduled for a group interview. If you make it past this process, there will be another group interview. Finally, if you've made it past the personality screening process, you'll be awarded a one-on-one interview with the Store Manager or Market Leader. As long as you don't screw this up, you're in.
Expect a phone call in the coming week where they'll offer you a hourly wage and you're given the opportunity to accept. I didn't try negotiating over the phone. Not sure where this would have gotten me.
