Average Interview – Overall Positive Experience – Yes, and I accepted – Fri, 23 Oct 2015

Interviewed Oct 2015(took 21 days)
It started with the online application as everyone else's does, but when the time came to RSVP for the hiring event the website wasn't allowing me to. I went up to the store I was applying to and talked to the People Manager about the issue. He asked if I could come in the next few days for an interview and I accepted. The first interview was a small group interview with about 9 or 10 other people and the People Manager. Basically this portion is to see how you interact in a group setting as well as to see if you are a self starter. Engage with people and answer the questions just as eager as you are accurate, and you should do fine. However, like many have said before me, faking it until you make it will not work. They can spot bs from a mile away especially since they watch you wait before the interview starts. I got called for a second interview with another manager a few days later. She was very friendly in a genuine way, and I think that made the interview that much more enjoyable. The questions felt more like a conversation than a grill session. Just like in the group interview, be your engaging self and give good honest answers and you should be fine. My third interview came after I did another in person follow up with the People Manager, who set me up with a phone interview with a store leader later that day. She asked me many of the same questions from my previous interview and the atmosphere was just as comfortable. A few days later I had my final interview with the Market Leader over the phone. Again it was many of the same questions and the same amiable atmosphere. I received my offer the next week. Two things I will say to anyone going through the interview process: 1.) Persevere and be honest. They will ask you all similar questions and then give each other their feedback on you so lying or telling everyone something different will do you no good. I thought I would never be finished interviewing with people, but at the end of the day that made me want the job that much more. 2.) THEY LOVE QUESTIONS! Especially questions about their personal experiences! Every single person I interviewed with jumped at the chance to answer questions and if you let them they will tell you their whole story in one answer--which isn't a bad thing at all. I found out that I wanted to work here because of the answers they gave to my questions.
