Difficult Interview – Overall Positive Experience – No – Sat, 31 Oct 2015

Interviewed Jun 2014 in London, England(took 2 days)
Day 1 Stage 1 – 5 min networking, talk to as many in the room as possible. You’ve gotta be blunt. Talk for 30secs, appear interested, apologise and move on. Take no prisoners with the 30 secs, they will understand….but they will try and keep you for longer! Stage 2 – A Presentation from them to you, how kind! Watch & state what you got or observed from it, make sure to pipe up and make a point (probably best if its positive). Engage with them, with your words, eyes and smile! Stage 3 – Group Presentation, in that your given a group task, you must find a solution to it & you must then present your ideas and solution. Your assessed for all of this, so again, listen attentively to others, but project your own opinion. The usual applies; watch your time, include all people. Many questions are asked on each stage! And there’s pauses where they want you to step up and come forward with your opinion without being prompted! Day 2 (if you get through to it!) Stage 1 Store Tour & Explanation, state what you observe and ask questions. Always appear interested (I recommend necking a double espresso 5 minutes prior). Stage 2 Group Presentation on solution to a problem, similar to its predecessor. Although this is management focused and should be based somewhat on the store tour. Stage 3 Single presentation on what you gained over the 2 days of assessment. Be cool, I think they want you to ease up but display your skills in assessment & evaluation of yourself, situations and others. Stage 4 2 interviews back to back, with 2 people in each. The usual formula with regards to projecting past experiences, what you have learnt etc. I would advise pushing how much you love the company here, and assert that this program is right for you, and that your one hell of a leader.
