Average Interview – Overall Positive Experience – Yes, but I declined – Sun, 29 Nov 2015
Interviewed Mar 2015 in London, England(took 60 days)
First of all you apply online on the Apple website.
I was applying for stores in London.
A few months later I received an email asking to participate in a phone interview, this was basically just asking basic questions, like how you would feel working for Apple, what apple products you own, what makes a great customer service.
The second stage is then a group interview, they make this sound very informal, but I suggest you still make an effort, after all it is an interview. In this stage you are shown videos and asked questions about what you think about them. It's all really relaxed, they are just looking for answers about Apple's values and what they believe in. At this stage you also asked to participate in a group activity, for this you have to describe how a situation would go with a customer and how you would deal with a repair.
The third stage is a more intimate interview with a smaller group of people, you are usually split up into groups of 4/5 and are asked a series of questions by a couple of recruiters, usually store employees. These questions are more technical and more about your store role. They are just looking at your past experience and how you would fit in with the team.
The fourth stage is when you meet your store manger, this again is with a small group of people and very informal, just allowing you explore the store and seeing if you have any more questions about the role.
In general the whole application is very long and you have to wait around a bit, in my case, it was too long and I had found another job before I was offered the position. However, it was a great experience and you get to meet quite a few other candidates that are like minded and love Apple.
