Average Interview – Overall Positive Experience – Yes, and I accepted – Wed, 9 Dec 2015

Interviewed Sep 2015 in Winston-Salem, NC(took 60 days)
For me, this consisted of a three interview process. It started with a short initial phone call from a recruiter basing whether or not they wanted me to move on to the next interview. Empathy is the key throughout all of these interviews, but showing some for the "customer" when they ask what you would say in x, y, or z situation. After the initial 15 minute phone call they decide whether or not to move you to the next step. Step two is a Facetime or Skype interview, based on your preference. This one, the young lady was very stoic and hard to read if she liked my answers or not. This lasted 30-40 minutes and they glossed over what the job would consist of, what my pay would be, what I would have to supply and what the company would supply for the position. She also discussed what it would be like, for me, to work from home; if I would find it hard to motivate myself to get up and "go to work," what I would do if I couldn't log onto my internet, or if fuses went out, etc, etc. Step three was a lot more laid back and it was another Facetime interview. This young lady was a lot easier to read and connect with to help me relax during the interview and that helped immensely. She asked me why I wanted to be involved with Apple, the At Home Advisor position, and what my future goals were with the company; if hired. As far as interview questions/role playing, she pretty much asked the same thing as the second interview besides having a situation where a customer had a bad connection with their phone. Ended up being a problem with their phone service instead of the Apple product itself. Keep in mind steps two and three are going to be interviews where your interviewer is most likely going to be at their place of residence and in a hoodie or polo shirt. Still dress up for it and look professional; obviously. Be extremely persistent with applying, check the website every week. At one point there wasn't one position, that was in my area, that I had not applied for. Keep the professionalism and empathy first. If you're an "Apple FanBoy" put that on the back burner for the interviews. They want people who have all around experience, not just with their product. So get to know Windows, Samsung, LG, all of it! The background check took a good month for me and I still passed, with not the best of records. Be confident and honest with EVERYTHING, to include start and end dates for your previous positions. Hope this helps and good luck!!
