Easy Interview – Overall Positive Experience – No – Wed, 23 Dec 2015

Hi Everyone;
Today i had my group interview at Sheraton Hotel here in Dubai. I will tell you exactly how was it: It was scheduled at 3:30pm as per my time chosen and there were around 20 ppl if I am not mistaken. We were greeted by the HR Local team and escorted to the ballroom but before we were given some instructions to fill a form, and also they have prepared some good sort of snacks, with an array of pastries and hot dishes! I don't see many companies doing this nowadays. Right after we were escorted to the room and they did some presentation about themselves and telling a bit of their careers at Apple. So did us as well. We started talking about ourselves and where did we come from. They didn't want details about our current job, they think is too personal and somehow I agreed. Like " Im John and I am from Brazil, I speak Portuguese and Spanish; Thats it! Firstly there were videos about Apple retail ( thanks God they were here on youtube, please check all the retail videos about the brand, it helps!) Right after the HR manager asked us sort of questions like "What did you see here" and everyone had the chance to share a bit. One tip is, don't speak before raising your hand, I got too excited and did it once, but some of the guys did a lot lol! And for each video been presented, there were more questions and it was very interacting though. After we finished there it comes the first group test; - They gave us Apple products like IPads, MacBooks, Apple TV etc.. each team had to make a tv comercial about that product and convince whoever is watching TV to buy it, etc.. So we were given ten minutes to plan it accordingly and do it for exactly 30 seconds... My group had the MacBook Air and we did a small theater..I hope they liked it lol. Second Dynamic it was a sort of role play and and the HR manager had the IPad on her hand, so there was situations that we were the client looking for the product, buying sth, and lots of situations; each couple had to do plot twist, funny too! and again 30 seconds.. At the end, I really like how they thanked us for being there and she was very clear that the Apple does not give a feedback and later this week there will be two types of emails encouraging us to re-apply again after six-months and other telling about our "next or last stage I hope" in general it was a nice experience, let see if I am going through the last stage or not! Hope it is it clear guys!
