Average Interview – Overall Positive Experience – Yes, and I accepted – Fri, 9 Sep 2016

Interviewed in Abu Dhabi (took 240 days)
The interview process was pretty long. I first applied 8 months ago, and just passed all the interview stages. There were a total of 4 interview 'events' over the course of around 6 months. Firstly, if you are accepted, you get an email telling you that someone will call you and you have a choice of specific dates and time slots that you have to RSVP to. The email also tells you to watch linked videos about the jobs they have, so that you can get a better feel for what you're applying to - and I recommend watching them before your phone interview because they do ask you if you have and might ask a few questions about them. This lasted about 15 minutes. Afterwards, if you did well on that - you get an email telling you about the next event, which is a group event; it's mostly introductions to the company, you introduce yourself, then you're given specific situations where you have to role play as either a customer or an employee. You're also given a chance to show off your creativity by 'creating' ads in a group chosen by the interviewers for specific apple products. Just as before, you choose a specific date and time slot from the choices given to you, and the link to the jobs videos once again. This was overall about 2 hours. The third interview is a smaller group event, you are given a chance to speak more specifically about previous life or job situations. You're given an iPad and choose one of the questions and give your answers on how you handled certain problems or situations. This lasted a maximum of 20 minutes. After passing that stage, you get a confirmation that you've made it to the next part of the process and that you'll receive an email on a specified date, telling you when you're going to go to the next event. You can choose then out of 2 time slots on one date. Finally, the last interview is another group event. A few weeks before you're sent an email that contains a document, in both word and pages format, that you have to fill out and send back, that explains a bit about yourself. Once you get to the venue, you get a few introductions from the interviewers and you are picked at random to start presenting for a couple of minutes. Afterwards, you create another ad about one of the Apple stores in your assigned group. This took a total of 2 hours. A week or two later you receive a phone call giving you feedback about your performance and whether or not you have passed all the phases, and the next steps. Overall, it was a very long process - and there was never an individual interview, but you are given a chance to show your personality a couple of different times if you do make it through. Most of the candidates have strong personalities and ask, as well as answer, questions in every phase. Don't be afraid to say something if you know it, and joke around as well as get personal with the interviewers if you're capable. Everyone's really friendly and understand if you're a bit anxious. This is just my personal experience with the interview process, and it might be different every hiring cycle.
