Very Easy Interview – Overall Positive Experience – Yes, and I accepted – Wed, 22 Mar 2017
Interviewed Apr 2,015 in Southlake, TX (took 28 days)
The interview process for Apple is different for everyone. I know people who had a series of ten interviews over the course of six months, and people who were hired on the spot. Being referred is the easiest way to get in the door. I was referred by a friend and called in for an interview the next day. This was a very informal twenty minute chat with one of the general managers about what I liked to do, what I went to school for, the most influential people in my life, etc. They are mainly checking to make sure you are a nice person who is willing to learn, not if you know everything about every product (they would probably prefer to teach you themselves anyway). After that interview, they asked me to stay and speak with the store leader immediately, which was pretty unusual. The store leader talked to me for about five minutes before offering me the job on the spot. I told him I couldn't leave my previous job without giving two week notice, which he said he respected but that it would put me back in my interview process. I had to wait about three more weeks until they called me in for my third interview, this time with the district manager, store leader, and one general manager. This was a group interview, it was over in about thirty minutes, and I was offered the job a few days later.
