Average Interview – Overall Positive Experience – No – 1 of 1 found this helpful – Thu, 9 Oct 2014

Interviewed Oct 2014 in Limerick, Limerick(took 9 days)
I applied online via a jobs website and the next day an Apple recruiter contacted me via Email. I was given some questions to fill out regarding my internet connection speed, office space at home, phone connection and so on. She also sent me on some more details related to the job. The next day I received another Email asking on my availability / notice period etc. A few days later I received an Email giving me details of a Skype interview with the Hiring Manager and details of another recorded technical test I had to take online with a company called HireVue. I was also given a login for the background check company HireRight to fill out. I completed the interview on Skype which took about 55 mins as the interviewer was a nice guy to talk to and we went off topic on some occasions when talking about interests outside of work etc which took the pressure off here and there. Basically the interview is very customer orientated including some scenarios such as dealing wtih an irate customer who's iPhone needs replacement etc. If you have customer support experience you will be fine. Also the usual other questions such as how you deal with stress and so on, how do you settle a dispute with a team member. Give example scenarios for everything you talk about. As I mentioned we talked about other interests, hobbies...also make sure you have the basic facts about Apple and know the names of at least 7 or 8 products. Know things like the CEO of Apple, also know things like who founded the company and the HQ address. The technical test is recorded online - you get a question on the screen and the site records your video answers. If you have basic technical knowledge you will be fine...don't worry if you can't answer some of the questions as they encourage you to finish the test anyway, this information can be thought to you in the training but good customer service comes from a personality that suits it, its hard to teach that. Finally I filled out my background check form and sent it off so I'm just waiting now to see what happens, either way if I get the job or not it was a good experience as I hadn't done a video interview before. Hope this helps someone else going for it...good luck!
