Easy Interview – Overall Negative Experience – No – Thu, 21 Dec 2017
Interviewed Dec 2,017 in Cupertino, CA (took 14 days)
Flawless experience with the first recruiter that reached out to me on LinkedIn, it was almost too good to believe. Then she passed me onto the technical recruiter at Apple HID Cupertino and everything changed.
Where to begin:
- She seemed to have gone through my social media, she made hostile comments that gave me this impression.
- She made it seem as if the previous recruiter was getting all the commissions and she needed something from me to make things move along.
- Everything she told me on the phone was backtracked in person and in writing.
- Tells me she has a cold but did not cough, sniffle or wince one time.
- I can go on and on about how this terrible recruiter sabotaged my experience.
- An experienced recruiter who is ill-willed can play a lot of games to hurt you.
That being said, let's talk about the technical interview by the engineers. Excellent experience! They all asked me questions that were relevant and I could tell they came up with them on their own. They were kind and patient.
It really sucks to be an Electrical Engineer being help at the mercy of some technical recruiter that has no idea and doesn't care to try to understand how much and how hard you have worked for the opportunity.
Again, I did not apply, I was contacted by an excellent recruiter via LinkedIn, I regret she passed me onto someone with a much less positive attitude.
