Average Interview – Overall Positive Experience – Yes, and I accepted – Wed, 28 Mar 2018
Interviewed Oct 2,016 in Tampa, FL (took 21 days)
Overall, interview process went smooth and was super straightforward.
Within a month of applying online, I received an invitation to a hiring event at the local retail store. Hiring event had multiple people applying for different positions, but the questions were very general and customer-service oriented. Took place early in the morning before the store opened. Event started with a presentation from leaders on the store and they also gave a quick overview of each position. Then, they requested all the applicants to go around and introduce themselves and say a fun fact about themselves. After that, the applicants were split into groups with a store employee at each group. An iPad was passed around and applicants had to answer different customer-service oriented questions. At the end of the question session, everyone reconvened and leaders dismissed everyone, stating that they would hear back soon.
I received an email that same week inviting me to the second stage of the interview process, which required me to have a one-on-one interview with one of the store leaders. Store leader and I walked around the mall for about 25 to 30 minutes while he asked me more specific questions about myself, why I chose to apply to Apple, and what I enjoyed about the customer service industry (just to name a few). Very casual and relaxed interview. He had informed me I would hear back from them soon.
I received an invitation to the third and final stage of the interview process that following week. I met with two other store leaders, but I assume they were higher up. They pretty much asked me the same questions as the last time, but went into more specifics about my qualifications, past customer service experience, and even at one point asked me to talk any interesting customer service stories I had. Overall, interview lasted about 30-45 minutes and they had informed me I would hear within the next week if I was offered a position.
And, a few days later, I got the offer!
