Average Interview – Overall Positive Experience – No – Wed, 25 Jul 2018
Interviewed in Sunnyvale, CA (took 60 days)
I was invited to interview via email and went through several phone interviews. I was then brought onsite for a day where I met with the core team I would have worked with, individuals from related teams, and my potential manager. It took several weeks for them to give me their decision. Even though it was a no, the recruiter was quite cordial and offered to forward my résumé to other teams at Apple. Everyone in the process was polite and gave me a fair chance to present myself.
Positive: I was not asked about my salary requirements at all during the interview process, which was nice compared with many other companies.
Negative: I was told by an interviewer that asking about work/life balance during interviews was a red flag at Apple. I got the sense that employees were worked way too much.
