Difficult Interview – Overall Positive Experience – No – Sun, 4 Jan 2015
Interviewed May 2014(took 1 days)
Received an e-mail from a member of the "Apple Worldwide Recruiting" team that was partnered with our University. We set up a phone-interview date and time.
I failed the first phone-interview, so I am unsure of how the whole hiring process goes. However here are some details of my experience.
It was right-to-the-point about basic electronic theory as well trying to understand my technical standpoint. (I think I unfortunately spent too much time thinking about how I'd answer non-technical questions: questions like "why do you want to work here? What are you looking to get out of this experience? etc. etc.). The interviewer dug deep into some of my side-projects I've listed on my resume and asked questions I haven't thought of before (the guy was incredibly bright) as well.
Overall, the interview was all technical.
Interview Questions
I've unfortunately forgotten the exact details of the question, but make sure (if you are an EE focused generally in the hardware realm) to understand all your basic op-amp theory. Know your equations, configurations, and how basic circuit theory works.
