As many people describe in reviews this interview process is long! far too long and ambiguous in my view. I had the initial phone interview. A month later I was invited to a hiring event (about 20 people) with several Apple employees, which was not impressive. I did my research and found I knew more than the presenters not to mention the other attendees who seemed completely uninformed. A month later I had another web call with HR about 2 hours. What I found strange is that at this point no one spoke about the position I was applying to. Then I attended another round of interviews in person another month later, finally with some managers, and even still they asked the most mundane questions. I wondered if anyone actually had even looked at my resume up until this point!
I have to admit that all the Apple employees in the process were very nice and considerate, they do really seem to want to get to know you as a person.
I am still in this process with no end in sight. There is no answer on timeline of process or hiring plans. What I find most intriguing is the sheer arrogance of this company and this process. You would think they were paying millions, on the contrary, these jobs pay well below average yet they want the most qualified people. Most of the people interviewing will certainly finds jobs before the decision process ends or will drop out due to annoyance. Thank goodness for Apple that they can get away with this since they are 'viewed' to be a desirable company to work for. I am sure I will outlive this era of Apple and there will be a day they may beg people to work there! funny!
My original enthusiasm for this role has deteriorated through this mediocre process....how disappointing!
