Easy Interview – Overall Positive Experience – Yes, and I accepted – Sat, 13 Jun 2015

Interviewed May 2015(took 60 days)
Hey! So I just went through the whole Apple interview process, and the Glassdoor reviews were a huge help. So, I'd like to return the favor and help out anyone going through the same process! Phone Interview- I originally applied online at the beginning of March. I didn't hear anything for about a month. I got an email from an Apple recruiter saying that they want to schedule a phone interview. The phone interview was pretty simple. I was asked questions like "Why Apple?" "Name a time you had to deal with an unruly customer?" It was easy. The women said everything went well, and I should expect to hear back from an Apple store representative. She didn't give a timetable, so don't get worried if you're waiting a couple weeks. Group Interview- I got an email inviting me to a group interview two weeks later. The date of the interview was a week from when I got the invitation. The interview was lots of fun! There was about 15 people in my interview. Everyone was really cool and interesting! The Apple recruiters where both really nice too. The first activity was going around the room and introducing yourself. The three questions we had to answer where 1) Tell us a little but about yourself 2)Describe your customer service experience 3) Why Apple? We then watched a brief video explaining all the different Apple roles. Try to think of some interesting questions to ask after the video, it will make you stand out. Then we broke into groups and basically interviewed each other. There was an iPad on the table that had interview questions on them. We each asked and answered two questions. I don't recall my exact questions, but they were basic interview questions. Nothing that would really throw you off guard. The Apple recruiters float around the room and monitor. Try to be relaxed! You will be nervous, but you'll see the interview is a lot of fun! Second Interview- I got an email three days later inviting me to an interview at an Apple store. I've read some people interview with other potential job candidates, but I interviewed alone. I met with one of the store managers who was real laid back. All the job interviews are more like conversations than interviews. I never felt pressured in any situation. I was asked more basic questions. "Name a time you and a customer disagreed. How did you deal with it?" "why apple?" "Name a time you had a profound experience with a customer" Don't give short answers. Really try to talk a lot. Make it a story. Apple wants to hear how well you talk. They don't care if you dont know anything about technology. They'll teach you that. They can't teach personality though. Third Interview- This was my final interview. I got an email about a week later inviting me back. I met with the store leader who was awesome. He was super nice, laid back and funny. Some questions I was asked were "Name some hobbies" "whatre your passions" "name a time you and a manager disagreed. howd you deal with it?" Make sure to really expand on your answers and show your personality! I've read you can be asked some technical questions, but I was not. I was told I should hear back by the next week. I got a call nine days later from the stores HR person offering me the job. I accepted, and they do a background check. Once the background check clears the Store will email you asking you to come back in and sign the final paperwork making it official. You can be interviewed up to six times, so be patient and stay positive! Good luck!
