Difficult Interview – Overall Positive Experience – No – Wed, 16 Sep 2015

I got past 3 stages (hiring event/group stage and 3 individual interviews) before being told i am not what apple was looks for.
Apple doesn't really have a select criteria on who they hire (besides someone easily approachable, open minded,friendly and who will not be rude to customers). As you may know just by walking into a store there are people of all different walks of life, beliefs, cultures and appearances.
For all of my one on one interviews all the interviewers (who are apart of the leadership team in the store you apply for) think up specific questions on the spot based on what they want to know about you. For examples, the first and the last individual stages asked me more personality/character based questions, with the second stage interviewer asking me more work experience questions.
Interview Questions
As you progress you may be asked at least one of these question OR none. Like i said they think of questions on the spot of what they want to know about you. First they will share a story/experience/ create a scenario and then ask the question at the end.
Individual interviews:
-Which mac products do you have, what apps are you most familiar with.
-What motivates you/what is your passion in life
-Name a time where you had to inspire someone
-Name a time where you were thrown into a the “deep end/ out of your element/steep learning curve“ and had to adjust. THEN YOU HAVE TO SAY WHAT YOU WOULD DO DIFFERENTLY.
-Name a time where you had to comfort someone
-Name a time where you turned/helped a dissatisfied customer into a satisfied customer.
-What app best represents you
-Where do you want to travel/why
-State a time when you had to push for an unpopular opinion
-Who would you a coffee with?
-greatest achievement so far in life
-What was the most difficult work experience and how did you overcome it?
-explain a time where you had to make others feel welcome
-explain a time when you had to deal with a person who had conflicting interests
